September 9^th. In line with national policies of overall development of civil aviation and the opening of Taoyuan International Airport(TPE, formerly known as Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport), Ministry of Transportation & Communications and China Airlines organized the Preparatory Committee for the establishment of Taoyuan International Airport Services (TIAS Co. Ltd.)

Preparatory Office was founded in May and the registration and establishment was completed on November 8^th.

February 26^th. TIAS began ground service operation at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE).

July 31^th. The name of the company was changed to Taoyuan International Airport Services Co., Ltd.

TIAS become one of the members of IATA Ground Handling Council (IGHC) in July.

August 1^st. Set up Data Processing Center to launch comprehensive computerized operation and development on operation system.

The Equipment Maintenance Department completed the registration of ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance factory in January.
The C.I.S. (Corporate Identification System) logo of TIAS was designed and released in October.

April 2^nd. TIAS Training Center was founded to provide comprehensive management of training planning and implementation.

March 25^th. TIAS acquired ISO-9002 accreditation certification under the inspection of British Standards Institution (BSI).
December 30^th. To balance the organization faculties, the Auditor Office had been set up for auditing the service quality and the financial items.

Comply with overall strategy from mother company, China Airlines Group, TIAS has invested in Taiwan Air Cargo Terminal (TACT) in September.

TIAS has set up special dispatch team at Taitung Airport (TTT) in January and being the first venture into domestic ground handling market.
The manufactures and maintenance of cargo pallets and containers factory is certified by Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA).

May 23^th. TIAS established a subsidiary service company-Tao Yu company.

June 3^rd. Our ISO accreditation had been successfully transferred to ISO 9001:2000.

TIAS acquired the Airport Handling Manual 804 (AHM804) of IATA accreditation, and has won a prize for excellence in ground handling in August.

January 25^th. TIAS completed Aviation Security Plan and Aviation Security Quality Control Plan which were approved by Aviation Police Bureau and apply to Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) as well as Taitung Airport (TTT).

Registered as the certified IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operation (ISAGO) provider in October. TIAS is the first ground handling company to obtain this honor in Taiwan.

October 9^th. TIAS successfully passed the reexamination of ISAGO inspection.

November 7^th. TIAS successfully passed the reexamination of ISAGO inspection.

October 20^th. TIAS successfully passed the reexamination of ISAGO inspection.

November 21^st. ISAGO applied New Model, TIAS was certified as New Model Provider.

September 16^th. TIAS successfully passed the reexamination of ISAGO inspection. (Online audit was used during COVID-19 period)

December 2^nd. TIAS successfully passed the ON-SITE Audit reexamination of ISAGO inspection.
